Prysmian Group is an Italy-based company specializing in the production of power and telecommunication cables and cable systems. It laid its first international project, a transatlantic telegraph cable, in 1925 to establish communication between Italy and South America. The company became an international entity by participating in significant projects such as laying submarine cables for the “Long-Distance Telephone Network” between Italy and Brazil and establishing connections between Brazil and North Africa.
